PCCB insists on combating corruption to maintain justice, humanity
DODOMA: The Director General of the Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB), Crispin Chalamila, has warned Tanzanians against the evils of corruption, saying it is one of the major obstacles hindering humanity and justice.
He said corruption contributes to the emergence of other oppressive acts that go against the Tanzanian constitution.
Chalamila made the remarks today, July 11, 2025, in Dodoma, during the commemoration of the African Anti-Corruption Day.

He emphasized that strengthening the fight against corruption is vital to achieving the Government’s goals of promoting social development and improving the quality of life for Tanzanians.
He further noted that the discussions taking place during the commemoration play a significant role in promoting respect for human rights across Africa, where many people continue to lose their rights due to corrupt systems.
The event brought together various stakeholders from both the public and private sectors to deliberate on new strategies for tackling corruption and fostering a society grounded in accountability and integrity.
