8.9bn/- projects progress well in Hanang

MANYARA: THE Finance, Administration and Planning Committee of the Hanang District Council in Manyara Region has expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of implementation of development projects in the district.

The committee, led by the Council Chairperson, George Bajuta, recently conducted a two-day inspection tour to assess the implementation of development projects worth 8.9bn/- in various wards of the district.

“This is a good step. If there is any negligence by officials at the ward and village levels, you will assist by supervising them to carry out their duties properly so that the projects progress swiftly,” said Bajuta.

Bajuta added that the committee did not observe any major weaknesses in value for money, noting that the projects were being completed on time and to the required standards.

During the tour, the committee inspected several projects, including the construction of Hidet Health Centre, dormitories at Endasak Secondary School, the construction of classrooms in primary and secondary schools, and major strategic projects such as the Katesh Bus Stand and the Council Administration Building.

After the assessment, the committee was satisfied with the pace and quality of implementation of most projects and commended the Hanang District Council Executive Director and technical staff for good supervision, transparency and close monitoring of the projects.

On her part, the Hanang District Council Executive Director, Theresia Irafay, acknowledged the committee for being satisfied with the implementation of projects in her council and pledged to act on all the recommendations provided by committee members
