DAR ES SALAAM: MORE than 500 exhibitors from both domestic and international industrial companies are intended to participate in Tanzania International Manufacturers Expo 2024(TIMEXPO2024).
The Confederation of Tanzania Industries (CTI) Executive Director, Mr Leodegar Tenga told reporters yesterday that TIMEXPO 2024 which is expected to kick off in September this year will feature exhibitors from all over the world to showcase their equipment and products in various sectors.
“TIMEXPO this year will showcase cutting-edge technologies in diverse sectors, bringing over 500 exhibitors from both local and international industrial players,” said Mr Tenga.
TIMEXPO remains a prime platform for manufacturers to showcase their offerings to potential customers and partners. Attendees can explore current industry trends, connect with suppliers and customers, and discover new business opportunities.
He further noted that the Expo which is themed ‘Building Bridges: Connecting Local and International Manufacturers’ will also highlight key sectors to promote and introduce new equipment, products, and services to the Tanzanian market.
Numerous key sectors including building and construction materials, extractive manufacturing (metals, minerals, and plastics), Agriprocessing, paints Industry, textile and leather industry, cosmetics industry, and manufacturing of consumer goods are expected to be showcased.
Others are petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy technologies, electrical appliances, modern Industrial equipment, and machinery.
The Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade)’s Director of Trade Promotion Mr Fortunatus Mhambe said the authority has signed agreements with CTI to organise the expo purposely to promote the growth of domestic industries.
He encouraged all stakeholders from both within the country and outside to participate in the event since the registration window is open for them.
“Apart from learning new technologies, the event will provide opportunities to participants to promote various products and services produced in the country…hence, connecting manufacturers with various producers of raw materials and other services used in industries,” he said.
