A total of 49 Tanzanians have been arraigned at the Kisutu Resident Magistrate’s Court in Dar es Salaam for allegedly travelling to South Africa without adhering to immigration procedures.
State Attorney Godfrey Ngwijo charged at the Court that on December 1, this year, all the accused were arrested at Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) in Dar es Salaam immediately after arriving from South Africa.
He further said that the reason for their arrest was due to the revelation that the said 41 people left the country illegally.
He named them as Doto Atanas, Msafiri Makana, Mohammed Magatila, Kasimu Mustafa, Iddy Mukumba, Rashid Kahungu, Juma Mkoi, Hussein Mohamed, Zuberi Mohamed, Ally Hussen, Elimies Irungu, Abduli Mtitu and Abubakar Hussein.
Others are Kessy Mzee, Ismail Singano, Riziki Seif, Shabani Kihambwe, Abasid Mahaud, Joseph Joseph, Sefu Mtagimoyo, Mohamed Mwenga, Asman Swedi, Haji Kandambili and Salim Hassan.
The long list also includes Hassan Uliza, Juma Kuluwele, Daniel Mangombe, Shabani Ally,Abdul Ngaza, Selemani Chambulili, Shukuru Athuman, John John, Rajabu Mchevu, Hamad Kajimbe, Frank Mabula, Mohamed Mabuga and Rashid Ramadhan.
Shabani Kiboko, Abubakar Amadi, Besha Mbutu, Ibrahim Ndendegu, Ramadhan Chindu, Ramadhani Juma, Salumu Abasi, Shukuru Shabani, Dadi Ramadhan, Nando Halid, Yohana Baraka and Andrew Kalage complete the list.
However, Attorney Ngwijo asked the court to punish all the accused in accordance to Immigration Law.
