Simba SC fans ‘Miquissone appetite’

LUIS Miquissone

LUIS Miquissone is in the spotlight after parting ways with his former club Al Ahly, as questions arise about where the 28-year-old player will land.

Simba fans are keenly waiting to see Miquissone back though nothing has been said about it.

Simba’s Chief Executive Officer Imani Kajula recently told the press – they have two more international players to recruit for the 2023/2024 season. He further insisted that those players would delight club fans.

Interestingly, when Kajula was asked if, among the players, does Miquissone appear? Laughing, he dodged the question, insisting that fans will be delighted when they receive the new signing.

Miquissone’s departure was announced publicly through a press statement published on his Instagram account.

It stated: As the agency representing Mozambique international Luis Miquissone, we would like to confirm an agreement with Al Ahly for club and player to part ways.

The decision has been reached cordially after the winger returned from a loan spell with Abha Football Club in the Saudi Arabian Pro League.

Luis joined Ahly, the Egyptian giants and Club of the Century, two years ago having gained a pedigree around the continent in different domestic leagues – among them his native Mozambique, Tanzania, and South Africa,

He now looks ahead to a new chapter elsewhere; one which Brand Arc Sports will communicate further in the coming weeks.

“I would like to thank the club Chairman, management, my teammates and the coaches I’ve worked with in my time here. Allow me to also extend my gratitude to the wonderful fans of a club the magnitude of Al Ahly,” said Luis.

Brand Arc Group chairman Thato Matuka, who helped broker what was then a career defining transfer for Luis, is adamant there are no misgivings.

“We thank the club for the opportunity, We don’t regret anything – Luis gave his best at the club. It’s time to move on. We close this chapter with our chin up. Yes, we have received a few calls regarding his future and we are confident in the direction we will take next,” Matuka explained in closing.
