11bn/- released to boost efficiency in Police Force

The government has released 11bn/- as a support to the Police Force in its transformation plan.

This has been revealed by President Samia Suluhu Hassan in Moshi, Kilimanjaro Region on Tuesday when she was officiating the Police Force working session.

The Commander-In-Chief of Armed Forces said the amount will help the Force to invest more on training of its officers.

She said the police force should strive to maintain its reputation by getting rid of recruiting failures.

“The money we have disbursed is for training…teach them moral issues, fairness and adherence to ethics,” she said. “Go to serve the people.”

On the other hand, the President added that another 50bn/- has been released to pay allowances and other entitlements to police officers as a motivation for then to curb corruption.
