100 Tanzanians celebrate the 62nd Union Anniversary in Naples, Italy

NAPLES: THE Tanzanian Embassy in Italy has commemorated the 62nd anniversary of the Union by organizing a General Meeting of Tanzanians living in the country (diaspora), held in Naples, Campania Region.
The meeting was chaired by the Ambassador of Tanzania to Italy, Mbarouk Nassor Mbarouk, and was attended by approximately 100 Tanzanians residing in Italy, along with embassy staff.
Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Mbarouk urged members of the diaspora to continue collaborating with the government in contributing to national development by promoting Tanzania internationally, as well as actively seeking and utilizing investment and business opportunities. He also reminded them of the importance of respecting the laws, rules, and regulations of their host country while upholding Tanzanian values and ethics.

Various issues affecting the diaspora were discussed during the meeting, including challenges they face. The Ambassador provided clarifications on some of these concerns and pledged continued engagement with the diaspora to find sustainable solutions.
The meeting also resolved to further strengthen relations and cooperation between the diaspora and the embassy, with the aim of increasing their contribution to national development.
In marking the 62nd anniversary of the Union, the Ambassador highlighted the significance of the Union and outlined key achievements realized since its establishment. He further emphasized the importance of maintaining peace, unity, and solidarity among Tanzanians as a foundation for sustainable national development.
