Zanzibar Minister champions youth empowerment at Top 100 CEOs Awards  

ZANZIBAR: Zanzibar’s Minister for State in the President’s Office (Labor, Economy, and Investment), Sharif Ali Sharif, officiated the prestigious Top 100 Best CEOs of the Year Awards on Monday, urging Tanzanian youth to align their entrepreneurial projects with the country’s investment policies.

Speaking at the event in Zanzibar, the Minister noted that the youth have a unique opportunity to position their companies for recognition both locally and globally by leveraging the country’s favorable investment environment.

In particular, Deogratius Kilawe, Director of Eastern Star Company and organiser of the awards in collaboration with The Global CEO Institute, highlighted the purpose behind the initiative.

According to him, the awards celebrate exemplary leadership, encourage innovation, and inspire the next generation of executives.

He further said that they also aim to uphold high standards and drive sustainable impacts within industries and communities.

Likewise, Kilawe highlighted that winners are selected based on the quality of their contributions to their respective fields.

In response, enthusiastic winners commended the awards, describing them as a source of inspiration for Tanzanian companies to consistently excel and produce world-class products.

The event was attended by various high-performing institutions and companies that stood out in 2024.
