Young Africans unstoppable in Premier League

DAR ES SALAAM: Young Africans are five-point clear at the top of the Premier League table after upsetting Ihefu 5-0.

The victory at Chamazi Complex in Dar es Salaam on Monday evening saw Yanga claiming 49 points after 18 matches.

Pacome Zouzoua opened the scoreboard before Mudathir Yahya doubled the lead.

In the second half, Stephanie Aziz Ki, Augustine Okrah and Maxi Nzengeli utilized well their chances mostly from counter attacks to net three times.

It is a befitting revenge for the defending champions who suffered a 2-1 defeat when the duo interfaced in the first round at Southern Highland Estates Stadium in Mbarali, Mbeya.

Up next, Yanga will host Geita Gold at the the same venue on Thursday while Ihefu will travel to play Coastal Union at Mkwakwani Stadium in Tanga on the same day.
