Yanga coach Hamdi praises charges for performance
DAR ES SALAAM: YOUNG Africans Head Coach Miloud Hamdi has lauded his team’s dominant performance after a convincing 3-0 victory over Pamba Jiji at CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza on Friday.
The win further solidified Yanga’s lead at the top of the league, strengthening their push to defend the title.
Speaking after the match, Hamdi expressed satisfaction with his players’ execution of set plans, particularly in the second half.
“It was a fantastic performance from the team. We controlled the game from the start, created numerous chances and showed great composure in front of goal.
Aziz Ki made an immediate impact after coming on and his two goals were crucial in securing the win,” Hamdi said.
He stressed the importance of maintaining momentum as the season progresses.
“Every match is crucial and we must stay focused. The players are working hard and I am pleased with their commitment. We will continue pushing forward to finish the season strong,” he added.

On the other side, Pamba Jiji Head Coach, Fred Felix Minziro, acknowledged that his team struggled to contain Yanga’s relentless pressure, but remained optimistic about upcoming matches.
“We had some good moments, but Yanga were the better team today. Their players took their chances well and once they scored the first goal, it became difficult for us,” Minziro admitted.
Despite the defeat, he encouraged his squad to learn from the experience.
“We must analyse what went wrong and make improvements. The league is still ongoing and we need to keep fighting for better results in our next matches,” he concluded.
With the victory, Yanga now lead the league with 58 points, extending their gap to four points ahead of their closest rivals, Simba SC.
Meanwhile, Pamba Jiji remain in 13th place with 22 points from 22 matches.
