TWCC launches initiative to promote business
DAR ES SALAAM: The Tanzania Women Chamber of Commerce (TWCC) has launched the Women and Youth Industrial Exhibitions, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at promoting Tanzanian businesses with a focus on capturing international markets.
This initiative comes as part of a broader effort to increase the global competitiveness of Tanzanian entrepreneurs, particularly women and youth.
The Deputy Minister for Industry and Trade, Mr Exaud Kigahe, was present at the launch in Dar es Salaam, where he expressed his full support for the event and the efforts of the TWCC.
In his remarks, he urged both the private sector, including TWCC, and the government to create a more favorable environment for women and youth to promote and sell their products, not just locally, but on an international stage.

“The government, through the Ministry of Trade and Industry, will continue to collaborate with other stakeholders to support the businesses run by women and youth,” Mr Kigahe stated.
He also commended TWCC for its commitment to organizing such an impactful event, acknowledging its role in empowering and uplifting these crucial segments of the Tanzanian economy.
TWCC is a non-governmental organization dedicated to advocating for the economic empowerment of women across Tanzania. This exhibition is an extension of their mission to provide women and youth entrepreneurs with the necessary tools, networks, and opportunities to thrive in both local and international markets.
This event is expected to not only showcase the rich diversity of Tanzanian products but also foster partnerships, collaborations, and access to new markets, enhancing the potential for women and youth-led businesses to grow and flourish. The ultimate goal is to make Tanzania a hub for innovative, high-quality products with global appeal.
