Use upgraded e-Ardhi land system, citizens tipped

DODOMA: THE Ministry of Lands has urged citizens to continue using the e-Ardhi system, which has simplified land services delivery and enables Tanzanians to access services from anywhere in the country.

According to a statement issued recently by the ministry, the system is being continuously upgraded and is now used for a variety of land functions, including planning, surveying, allocation, registration and valuation.

The statement highlighted that the introduction of the system has led to changes in the appearance of official documents.

“Regions including Dodoma, Arusha, Tanga, Mbeya and Mwanza, as well as Shinyanga Municipal Council, Mtwara Mikindani, Kigoma Ujiji, Nzega Town Council and the districts of Kahama, Chalinze and Songea have already started using the system,” the statement read.

In addition, the system is applied nationwide for valuation and registration of legal documents. The ministry has called on citizens, financial institutions, lawyers and other stakeholders to register on the e-Ardhi platform to access land services conveniently and efficiently.

Members of the public are also advised that they can verify the authenticity of documents issued through the system by scanning the special barcodes attached to the documents.
