UPDP pledges to protect national values, serve as Tanzania’s unifying force

MWANZA: THE United People’s Democratic Party (UPDP)’s Presidential Candidate, Twalib Kadege, alongside his running mate Abdallah Mohammed Hamis, has declared that their party’s primary policy is to safeguard and promote national peace.

Speaking at different times during the official launch of their party’s campaign held in Igoma Kilimo, Mwanza City, the UPDP candidates stressed that peace is the foundation of the country’s development. They noted that essential sectors such as education, religious practices, politics, and the economy all depend on the existence of true peace.

The party also called on candidates from other political parties, as well as the general public, to engage in civil and respectful politics that reflect the nation’s values. UPDP emphasized the importance of avoiding abusive language, mockery, and insults, warning that such conduct can incite conflict and disturb national harmony.

Furthermore, the party urged citizens to ignore individuals who attempt to incite division or provoke unrest in any form. The candidates reiterated that UPDP is ready to lead the country based on the principles of justice, equality, and the preservation of the peace that has been built over many years.
