He said by providing civic education it would be easy to conduct free, fair and credible elections.

“I would like to emphasise and encourage women and marginalized groups such as people with disabilities to vie for various elective posts in your respective areas, especially in the forthcoming elections,” he noted.

Mr Mnzava also tasked the party leaders, particularly at grassroots level to register more members, especially young people, for the party to stand a better chance to win the 2025 general election.’

He said citizens must understand that voting is a key responsibility, saying electing leaders is a civic duty.

“Some people do not trust politicians, but we cannot make it if we don’t come out to vote. We must therefore participate in electing leaders so that they can serve us and hold them accountable when they fail to perform their duties as agreed,” he noted.

According to him, inclusive political participation is not only a fundamental political and democratic right, but it is also critical to the development of stable and peaceful society.

He stated that other groups, such as opposition parties, women, and people with disabilities, must be included in the elections and political processes.
