UDSM, Indonesia Embassy & Bright Famous launch Tanzania Scholarship Fair in Dar

DAR ES SALAAM – The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), Indonesia Embassy and Bright Famous Company have jointly launched a scholarship fair, an initiative aimed at broadening educational horizons for Tanzanian students.

The event, officiated by Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Technology, Omary Juma Kipinga, took placeĀ  Dar es Salaam on January 27, 2024, and brought together diplomatic communities, including representatives from the embassies of the US, Indonesia, France, and the United Kingdom.

The Scholarship Fair serves as a platform connecting students with diverse scholarship opportunities across various academic levels.

Deputy Minister Kipinga highlighted the crucial role of well-educated human capital in national development and expressed the ongoing challenges the Ministry faces in securing scholarships for the country’s youth.

He emphasized that the fair provides an invaluable opportunity for the Ministry to identify and explore international scholarships that can contribute to Tanzania’s educational advancement.

The Indonesian Embassy shared enthusiasm about scholarship opportunities, including the KNB scholarship, offering fully funded programs in Indonesia for students at all levels.

The presence of diplomatic representatives underscored the global significance of education in fostering strong international relations.

The collaboration between the University of Dar es Salaam, Bright Famous Company, and the British Council reflects a shared commitment to empowering Tanzanian youth through access to international educational opportunities.
