SOUTH AFRICA: THREE of Tanzania’s top elite amateur golfers have safely arrived in South Africa, ready to compete in the 2025 Africa Amateur Golf Championship, which tees off tomorrow.
Organised by The Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews (R&A), the championship brings together Africa’s top male and female amateur golfers for a fourday competition at the renowned Leopard Creek Country Club in South Africa.
Tanzania Golf Union (TGU) official Jonhson John expressed the union’s excitement, stating: “We are delighted to announce that three of our outstanding players— Samuel Kileo, who will compete in the men’s category, along with Vicky Elias and Madina Iddi, have arrived safely in South Africa to compete in the 2025 Africa Amateur Championship.”
The TGU has also extended its best wishes to the national representatives ahead of the prestigious tournament.
