TANZANIA: MTIBWA Sugar, Songea United and Stand United are making waves in the Championship League, each maintaining an unbeaten streak with three consecutive wins. This trio has secured 9 points after three matches, all vying for promotion to the top flight next season.

Mtibwa Sugar currently sit atop the table, having scored six goals without conceding any. Their latest victory came at Manungu Complex in Morogoro, where they stunned Mbeya City with a 2-0 win, solidifying their home advantage.

Following the match, Mtibwa Sugar Information Officer Thobias Kifaru expressed confidence in the team’s return to the Premier League, stating: “We are here on tour… our mission is to get back to the top flight where we belong. With this trend, I am sure that next season, we will join other teams to compete for the Premier League title.”

Songea United are also in the mix, demonstrating their determination for promotion with six goals scored and only two conceded. They remain in second place, with local fans hopeful for a Premier League representative next season.

Stand United have matched their performance, achieving three wins in a row while scoring three goals and maintaining a clean sheet.
