TRC issues apology for train delay

DAR ES SALAAM: The Tanzania Railway Corporation (TRC) has issued an apology to passengers following the delay of its Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) electric train on Monday.

According to a statement issued by the TRC’s head of the Public Relations Unit at TRC, Jamila Mbarouk, the train traveling from Dar es Salaam to Morogoro and Dodoma and from Dodoma to Morogoro and Dar es Salaam, was delayed due to a technical fault.

“The train encountered some technical errors, but the issue was resolved, and our services have resumed,” part of the statement read.

The electric train encountered a problem around the Ngerengere area on Monday night, where it was forced to wait for several hours.
