TRA welcomes taxpayers at the official launch of the IDRAS system

DAR ES SALAAM: THE Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) has informed taxpayers and the public at large that development of a new system for domestic revenue administration called the Integrated Domestic Revenue Administration System (IDRAS) has been accomplished and shall be put into effect from 9th February 2026.

According to a statement issued by the authority today, February 2 2026, as part of preparation for the use of the new system, TRA has organized a pre-launch system opening, which gives a chance for taxpayers to access some key features of the system and perform some preparatory activities.

The authority noted that during the pre-launch period, taxpayers can access the system through the link https://dr-ept.tra.go.tz/ept/login.

Additionally, TRA stated that during the period, taxpayers and the general public are encouraged to observe and undertake activities such as, rest password and Log into the IDRAS system to verify the migrated information, including the accuracy of their details, their representatives (declarants, administrators, audit firms), and their respective roles (user roles) and to make necessary improvements, including correcting, adding, or removing representatives (declarants, administrators, audit firms) and adjusting their roles (user roles) as well as appointing new representatives.

“The pre-launch phase is important to ensure smooth service availability, proper allocation of roles, and continuity of services without disruption once the IDRAS system officially comes into operation. Early verification of information and role assignment under pre-launch will involve all taxpayers, individuals, and entities,” the authority noted.

Moreover, TRA said that the pre-launch is not entirely a testing phase since credentials and user status from this phase will be migrated into real system operations on the go-live date, while other activities conducted during pre-launch will be ignored and considered as a test.

“Prelaunch is designed to prepare all users for the forthcoming official launch of the system. Therefore, all taxpayers are encouraged to ensure that they complete all preparatory phase activities accurately and on time to be fully ready for the use of IDRAS,” the statement read.

Moreover, the authority noted it will continue to provide training and support to taxpayers through various channels, which will be announced through different platforms, including the TRA website, social media accounts, and other means.

“Taxpayers and the general public are encouraged to participate actively to understand the new system and use it effectively. For more information or assistance related to the IDRAS pre-launch preparation activities, please visit the nearest TRA office or contact TRA through,” TRA stated.
