Tour Operators’ body embraces the IDRAS system

ARUSHA: THE Tanzania Association of Tour Operators (TATO) has received training on the Integrated Domestic Revenue Administration System (IDRAS), which is expected to be rolled out soon, in a move aimed at improving tax administration and service delivery.

The training organized by the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) held in the Arusha region brought together tour operators from across the region to familiarise them with the new system.

TRA Manager for Medium Taxpayers, Sunday Kayombo, said IDRAS was developed to enhance services for taxpayers without changing the existing tax laws.

He also said that the training is continuing and encouraged tour operators to seek further clarification from TRA offices whenever they face challenges.

TATO Deputy Chairperson Henry Kimambo welcomed the initiative, praising TRA for improving its services and commending the Arusha regional office for maintaining a strong working relationship with taxpayers.
