The Winners of the African Women in Art Award 2024 Announced!

The African Women in Art Award (AWAA), a competition for women artists from Sub-Saharan African countries, has unveiled its list of winners.

This year, the theme of the competition, “Mother Africa,” invited artists to explore and celebrate the essence of African identity, heritage, and the nurturing spirit of the continent through their creative works.

The international jury selected artists from 36 applicants representing 11 African countries, focusing on those who demonstrate a remarkable synthesis of creativity and innovation, reflecting the diverse cultural heritage and contemporary perspectives of African women.
