Ten dead in tragic truck accident in Tanga

TANGA: At least ten people have tragically lost their lives in Segera Ward, Handeni District, Tanga, after being struck by a truck that veered off the road.

Tanga Regional Commissioner Dr Batilda Burian confirmed the incident, which occurred early on Tuesday morning.

According to the RC, the victims were residents of Chang’ombe Village, who were assisting at the scene of a previous accident involving a small Tata vehicle when the disaster struck.

He further stated that the bodies have been moved to Magunga Hospital in Korogwe district, where the injured are also receiving treatment.
