Tembo Warriors off to false start in CECAAF opener

BURUNDI: TANZANIA’S national amputee football team, Tembo Warriors, began their East and Central Africa Regional Championship (CECAAF) campaign with a 2-0 defeat to Kenya at the Buyenzi Technical Centre in Bujumbura, Burundi.

The two early goals in the first half disrupted Tanzania’s start, despite a more determined second-half performance following tactical changes by Head Coach Ivo Mapunda, Tembo Warriors were unable to recover the deficit.

A lack of composure in front of goal proved costly, as they failed to convert several chances.
