TECNO launches modern arena in Dar worth 70bn/-

DAR ES SALAAM: A modern football stadium worth over 70bn/-, has been launched in Mwananyamala, Kinondoni District in a project initiated  by Techno Mobile Limited  to develop youth talents,

The move is part of the Mobile phone firm’s investments whose strength and goals are to promote soccer industry in the Tanzanian community, including the construction of modern grounds and developing youth talents aged below 17 years in football as an initial step.

Speaking at the launch of the ground, which cost more than 70bn/-, TECNO Manager in Tanzania, Dino Han, said that this is the first step, while the company has strong plans to continue contributing to the development of football in Tanzania by building more modern grounds from the sale of its products, including mobile phones.

He thanked the residents of Mwananyamala for supporting their efforts to improve the place, which currently has a modern look. “We thank the government leaders and the parents of Mwananyamala to support us on this project to meet the needs of their youth. Our goal is to make more sales of our products, to support the development of soccer in Tanzania,” he said.

In another step to promote football for young people, the manager said that through the Power Tanzania moment children program, 20 children have been selected to join the Masaki Hornet Academy in Dar es Salaam, where they will learn for three months, also their parents will be given Tsh 3,000,000 to meet their needs as motivation to develop their talents.

“This money has obtained from the sales of phones for December last year. Each phone sold Tsh 10,000/- was allocated for the development of football talents, where approximately 90m/- was collected,” said the manager.

The Mayor of Kinondoni, Songolo Mnyonge, thanked TECNO Mobile Limited Company for its action to promote football in the country for young people, while calling on other companies to do the same.

“TECNO should be an example to other companies, football is employment, and we have to develop talents starting from the early stage. Improving our grounds is very important,” said the Mayor.

Juma Hussein, one of the residents of Mwananyamala, thanked TECNO for improving the venue, claiming that there are many young soccer talents in the street, but the problem is the lack of modern playing fields. “When we have many fields like this, it is an opportunity for our talented children to develop them. This field, before it was improved, was very rough, but now it has carpets and modern fences. It is our responsibility to take care of it for our future generations, said Hussein Young Khalid
