Tanzanian Parliament rewards Samia for excellent performance

DODOMA: THE Tanzanian Speaker of the Parliament and President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Dr. Tulia Ackson, has presented a special award to President Samia Suluhu Hassan recognizing her outstanding contribution to the remarkable development of her country.

The award, given by the Parliament of Tanzania, also recognizes her contribution to national service and her efforts in bringing development to the Tanzanian citizens across various sectors.

The award ceremony took place today, May 31, 2025, at the Parliament grounds in Dodoma, and was attended by various government officials, Members of Parliament, and invited guests. Dr. Tulia commended President Samia as a model of visionary, wise, and competent leadership, stating that the award is a token of appreciation for her dedication to strengthening national prosperity.

Speaking after receiving the award, President Samia expressed her gratitude to the Parliament for the honor, noting that the recognized achievements are not hers alone, but belong to all Tanzanians who work together with the government in building the nation. She pledged to continue promoting inclusive development for the benefit of all citizens.
