Olomi demonstrated resilience in a competitive three-ball group alongside Kenyan national team member Mercy Nyanchama and Ugandan national team player Martha Babirye.

Olomi’s performance was notable as she finished in the top two despite the stiff competition. Among the five Tanzanian golfers who participated at Vipingo Ridge was Vicky Elias from the Tanzania People’s Defence Forces (TPDF) Lugalo Golf Club in Dar es Salaam.

Elias carded 82 to finish in 7th place.

Other Tanzanian competitors included Lina Francis and Shanzi Myombe from Arusha Gymkhana Club and Yasmin Chali, the honorary secretary of the Tanzania Golf Union (TLGU), all from Dar es Salaam Gymkhana Club.

The tournament, organised by the Kenya Ladies Golf Union (KLGU) in collaboration with local clubs, features East Africa’s top female golfers and spans five series played across five golf courses in Mombasa.
