DODOMA: Tanzania has denied widespread claims that it has stopped offering visas on arrival.
A public notice issued by the Immigration Services Department’s Chief Spokesperson SSI Paul Mselle on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, confirmed that this service remains available at all entry points.
However, the department has advised anyone planning to visit the country for various purposes to apply for a visa in advance through the online portal: https://visa.immigration.go.tz.

Mselle noted in the statement that applying for a visa online has the advantage of reducing clearance time and avoiding unnecessary delays upon arrival.
“The department is committed to providing quality services to clients coming to Tanzania for various activities,” the statement concluded.
