Tanzania unveils new empowerment plan for its youth

DODOMA: PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has announced a new plan to empower young people as she inaugurated the 13th Parliament in Dodoma today, November 14, 2025.

The President revealed that the government will establish a dedicated Ministry for Youth to address key challenges facing young people and expand opportunities for participation in national development.

Adding, she said the access to loans and start-up capital for youth will be strengthened to support entrepreneurship, innovation, and small business growth.

Additionally, the government will introduce special programs in business education, skills training, leadership development, and mentorship to help prepare young people for leadership roles and economic advancement.
