Tanzania to kick start housing census tomorrow

THE government announced on Monday that it will conduct a three-day housing census immediately from Aug.30 to establish the level of housing and plan for a new housing policy.

Census Commissioner, Mama Anne Makinda said the information to be collected will include both residential and non-residential buildings.

“I am urging the general public to continue providing accurate information that will help improve the housing sector in the country,” she said.

The exercise will be conducted by the same clerks.
