Tanzania, Niger set to strengthen relationship
NIGER: Tanzania eyes to strengthen its relationship with Niger in the areas of trade, investment and tourism for the benefit of both countries.
This was revealed during talks between former President Jakaya Kikwete and the President of Niger, General Abdourahamane Tchiani, at the Niamey State House in Niger.
Former President Kikwete, who is also a seasoned diplomat, is in a mission to deliver a special message on behalf of President Samia Suluhu Hassan to the Nigerien government.
During the meeting, Mr Kikwete conveyed President Samia’s warm greetings and expressed appreciation for the strong bilateral relations between Tanzania and Niger.
Moreover, the former President, highlighted President Samia’s desire to see African nations share experiences, knowledge and skills in order to effectively explore and utilize the continent’s vast natural resources for the benefit of its people.
