Tanzania, Kuwait institutions to collaborate on diplomatic training

KUWAIT: The Dr Salim Ahmed Salim Centre for Foreign Relations has signed an agreement with the Kuwait Diplomatic Institute (KDI) to collaborate on diplomatic training.

The agreement was signed by the Acting Director General of the Dr Salim Ahmed Salim Centre for Foreign Relations, Dr. Felix Wandwe, and the Director of the Kuwait Diplomatic Institute, Ambassador Al Nasser Al Sabah, during an event held in Kuwait City.

The signing ceremony, witnessed by Tanzania’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Saidi Massoro, was attended by other government officials, including the Director of Middle East Affairs, Ambassador Abdallah Kilima, Acting Director of Academics, Dr. Annita Lugimbana, and officials from Tanzania’s Embassy in Kuwait and KDI.

The Dr. Salim Ahmed Salim Centre for Foreign Relations, formerly known as the Centre for Foreign Affairs (CFR), is one of Tanzania’s higher learning institutions. It was established in 1978 as a result of an agreement between the Governments of Tanzania and Mozambique.

The Centre’s primary function is to promote the development, awareness, and understanding of international relations at regional and global levels for practicing and emerging professionals, as well as the general public.

The Dr. Salim Ahmed Salim Centre is committed to providing high-quality scholarly services through training, research, and consultancy in diplomacy and strategic studies to align with both national and international affairs.
