Tanzania injects 2bn/- to support content creators engaged in arts, sports, tourism sectors

DAR ES SALAAM; THE Tanzanian government has disbursed 2bn/- to support online content creators by enabling them to improve their work and increase their income through digital platforms.
The Minister for Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Paul Makonda, disclosed this in Dar es Salaam, noting the funds have been allocated to his ministry for the implementation of the project.
Additionally, he said the money is expected to support all content creators, including those in tourism, sports, media, social issues, music, film, and other arts.

Moreover, the minister said that the registration for eligible content creators will run from January 30 to February 15 this year.
Elaborating, he said that content creators are required to visit district, municipal, or city council offices through their information units to collect and complete application forms, providing personal details and information about their activities.
