Tanzania gears up for 45th Chess Olympiad in Budapest
DAR ES SALAAM: TANZANIA is set to make its mark at the 45th Chess Olympiad, which will be held in Budapest from September 10 to 23, 2024.
As one of 197 participating nations, Tanzania has assembled a team of five skilled chess players, accompanied by their captain, to compete in this prestigious global event.
The Tanzanian chess delegation, consisting of Hassuji Nurdin, Misambo Kilasa, Veer Gandhi, Lusako Shedrack, and Henry Marwa Michael, is currently preparing for its journey to Budapest.
According to a Tanzania Chess Association official, the team is scheduled to depart from Dar es Salaam imminently.
