DAR ES SALAAM: TANZANIAN designer Anissa Mpungwe showcased her Resort 2025 collection, “Mahari,” at a homecoming show in Dar es Salaam.
The collection celebrates her cultural heritage and heritage through fashion, blending rich colors, textures, and prints from her diverse background.
The collection features warm earthy tones, the liveliness of Dar es Salaam, the historical significance of Iringa, and the zest of Zanzibar.

Anissa’s signature style is a blend of tradition and playfulness, featuring playful bodysuits, laser-cut satin shirts, smooth suede-like fabrics, slouchy sleeves, flared skirts, and form-fitting silhouettes.
The collection also features summer tailoring in breathable cotton poplin and rayon blends, creating a harmonious palette of emeralds, siennas, rusts, and carmines.
