Tanzania deploys 75 athletes in All Africa Games 2024

DAR ES SALAAM: Tanzania has officially deployed 75 athletes who will compete in various sporting disciplines in the upcoming All Africa Games 2024 set in Accra, Ghana.
The multi-sport event is set to kick-off from March 8th to March 23rd as thousands of athletes from all parts of the continent battle for medals.
Speaking on Sunday evening at a farewell occasion of the athletes in Dar es Salaam, Minister for Culture, Arts and Sports Damas Ndumbaro urged them to compete hard.
“Gone are the days when we used to partake in these events and come back home empty-handed.
“Work hard in each sporting discipline that you are featured so that we should claim more medals,” he said.
The departing athletes will compete in Cycling, Athletics, Swimming, Boxing, Cricket, Judo and the Under-20 Women’s Football Team ‘Tanzanite.’
