DODOMA: The Ministry for Foreign Affairs and East African has expressed its deep concern following the attack on the diplomatic premises of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Khartoum, Republic of Sudan.
Statement issued by Tanzania’s Government Communication Unit stated that the attack is a violation of International Law and a failure of the parties to the conflict to uphold their obligations as enshrined in the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961.
“Tanzania, therefore, calls on all parties to the conflict to refrain from the violence so as to allow the use of peaceful means in resolving the crisis,” part of the statement read.
However, the government promised to provide its continuous support in all efforts aiming towards finding a lasting solution.
