Tanzania-Comoros major trade, investment forum underway

COMORO: THE Ambassador of Tanzania to Comoros, Saidi Yakubu, has met with the Chief Secretary of Comoros, Nour El Fatih Azali, to discuss plans by the Tanzanian Embassy to organize a major trade and investment forum in collaboration with the government of Comoros. The forum is expected to take place next month.

The meeting was held at the Comoros State House, where the two leaders also discussed various areas of cooperation between Tanzania and Comoros, particularly in the economic and diplomatic sectors.

During the meeting, Ambassador Yakubu presented a number of issues that need to be addressed by the government of Comoros to facilitate preparations for the forum and to strengthen bilateral relations. Chief Secretary Azali received the proposals and pledged that his government would work on them accordingly.

Ambassador Yakubu noted that the forum would serve as a platform to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries and open up more trade and investment opportunities for Tanzanian institutions and entrepreneurs.

It is worth noting that this year, Comoros is celebrating its 50th independence anniversary, and various events have been planned, including the participation of several institutions from Tanzania in the celebrations.
