Tanzania, Belgium agree to enhance ties in security, trade, technology 

BELGIUM: TANZANIA and the Kingdom of Belgium have agreed to enhance cooperation in five key sectors: defense and security, trade, investment, technology, and agriculture.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, mentioned the issues after his talks with Theodora Gentzis, President of the Board of Directors at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs, and Development Cooperation of the Kingdom of Belgium, in Brussels.

During their discussions, the two leaders addressed various international and bilateral issues of mutual interest. They reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the existing cooperation between Tanzania and Belgium.

They agreed to enhance collaboration in several key sectors, including defense and security, trade, investment, technology, and agriculture. This partnership aims to bring mutual benefits and drive social and economic development in both countries.

The visit is part of Tanzania’s broader efforts to strengthen its international relations, especially with development partners like Belgium, in order to promote the well-being of its citizens and the overall development of the nation.
