Tanzania apprehends Bangladeshis, Ethiopians, Somalians for illegal entry

MOROGORO: THE Immigration Office in Morogoro Region has apprehended 11 illegal immigrants who were found hiding in a forest located in Lachi Hamlet, Wami Sokoine Village, Dakawa Ward, Mvomero District.
The arrest followed reports from good Samaritans who spotted the individuals hiding in the forest and promptly informed the Mvomero District Immigration Office. Acting on the tip-off, immigration officers arrived at the scene and successfully arrested the illegal immigrants.
According to a statement issued by the Morogoro Regional Immigration Officer, Assistant Commissioner of Immigration (ACI) Saada Natepe, among those arrested were six nationals of Bangladesh, two from Ethiopia, two from Somalia, and one from Burundi.

ACI Saada Natepe confirmed the arrests and urged residents of Morogoro Region to continue cooperating with the Immigration Department by reporting any suspicious presence of foreign nationals, to curb illegal entry into the country.
The Immigration Department reiterated its commitment to taking stern legal action against illegal immigrants and anyone found aiding or harboring them.
