Singida Black Stars reinforce technical bench

SINGIDA Black Stars have made significant strides in enhancing their technical and administrative structure as part of their ongoing efforts to improve the team’s performance in the current Mainland Premier League season.

In a strategic move, the club has appointed Spanish Coach Juan Carlos Oliva, affectionately known as ‘Magro,’ as the new First Assistant Coach.

This appointment bolsters the technical bench and adds valuable expertise to the team, which remains under the leadership of Head Coach David Ouma from Kenya.

Additionally, the club has promoted Muhibu Kanu, a key member of the coaching setup, to the position of Second Assistant Coach.

This promotion reflects the club’s confidence in Kanu’s contributions and potential. On the administrative side, former Burundian striker, Amissi Tambwe, who has played for top clubs such as Simba SC, Young Africans and Singida BS, has been appointed as the new Team Manager.

Tambwe brings a wealth of experience and leadership, strengthening the club’s offfield operations. Fredy Chalamila has also been reassigned to the role of Head Coordinator for the club’s teams, a move aimed at further optimising the organisation’s internal coordination and structure.

These changes highlight Singida Black Stars’ commitment to creating a more efficient and robust framework both on and off the field, with aspirations of making significant progress in domestic and regional competitions.

With the arrival of Oliva, the club is hopeful that his fresh perspectives and strategic approach will enhance the team’s competitive edge. Working alongside Ouma and Kanu, the coaching staff is focused on achieving greater success in the league.

Singida BS is in fourth place in the league standings with 37 points from the 20 matches they have played so far.
