DAR ES SALAAM: SIMBA SC is set to host JKT Tanzania in an indoor friendly match at KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam on Saturday, as they prepare for their upcoming CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
Simba will kick off their CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round against Al Ahly Tripoli at the 11 June Stadium in Libya on September 15.
The reverse leg will be held at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium on September 20.
The overall winner of the two-legged tie will advance to the group stage of the competition.
Before these critical matches, Simba’s head coach, Fadlu Davids, will use the friendly matches against JKT Tanzania to fine-tune his squad.

Simba’s Media and Communication Manager, Ahmed Ally, noted that the indoor setting of the match will help reduce players’ pressure by restricting fan access.
In their previous friendly, Simba drew 1-1 with Sudan’s Al Hilal at KMC Complex. JKT Tanzania’s Information Officer, Massau Bwire, said they are honoured for being chosen for this match, highlighting it as a testament to their competitiveness in the Tanzania Mainland Premier League.
He humorously added that a strong performance might lead to internal issues for Simba, but also emphasised that JKT Tanzania aims to build on their previous performance against Azam.
