He added: “Football is a game of errors that can be corrected. After each match, we need to ensure we learn from our mistakes and enhance our strengths.”

Following the results, Simba sits third with 50 points from 23 matches.

The Reds trail behind Azam by four points, with Azam accumulating 54 points in 24 games. Meanwhile, Mtibwa Sugar struggled at the bottom of the table, managing only 17 points from 24 matches.

Despite their efforts, Mtibwa Sugar has struggled to secure maximum points in their last five games, drawing twice and suffering three losses.

Mtibwa Sugar’s Head Coach, Zuberi Katwila, expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance against Simba despite the defeat.

“It was a tough game. We did our best to contain Simba in the first 20 minutes, but we ended up conceding a goal. It was unfortunate that our players lost confidence after conceding an early goal,” Katwila explained.

Nevertheless, Katwila remain optimistic about their remaining six matches, vowing to perform well and improve their standing in the league.

Mtibwa Sugar’s striker, Charles Ilamfya, echoed the team’s belief in their ability to perform well in the remaining matches of the league. They aim to secure their position for the next season.

“We have four home matches remaining. If we can win all of them, we can secure a good position in the league,” Ilamfya said.

Simba’s goalkeeper, Hussein Abel, expressed gratitude for Coach Mgunda’s leadership. He highlighted his belief in the team’s capabilities.

The Reds’ next encounter will be against Tabora
