Simba SC appoint Magori as new board chair

DAR ES SALAAM: SIMBA Sports Club has appointed Crescentius Magori as the new Chairman of its Board, in a leadership reshuffle aimed at enhancing the club’s governance and operational oversight.

The appointment was announced by the club’s President and main investor, Mohamed Dewji, who stated that the decision aligns with the club’s goal of having a board leader who can be more actively involved in day-to-day activities.

“Our club needs a board leader who is present, has sufficient time and can participate more closely in daily operations,” Dewji said in the official press release.

Magori, a well-known football administrator and former CEO of Simba SC, steps into the chairman role as the club continues its push to become one of the leading teams on the continent.

In accordance with Article 41 of the Memorandum and Articles of Association (MEMARTS) of Simba Sports Club Company Limited, Dewji also appointed new members to the board representing the investor.

These include Barbara Gonzalez, Hussein Kitta, Azim Dewji, Rashid Shangazi, Swedi Mkwabi, Zuly Chandoo and George Ruhango.

Dewji expressed his appreciation to the outgoing board members for their contributions and voiced confidence in the newly appointed team.

“I would like to sincerely thank all previous board members for their leadership, time and contributions. I believe this new team will bring fresh energy and help advance our dream of making Simba SC the best club in Africa,” he said.
