The two teams meet tomorrow at Estadio 11 de Novembro in Angola for the first leg encounter ahead of the return leg at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Sunday next week.

The Msimbazi Street Reds are since pegged to jet off today for Angola aboard a chartered flight and expect to return home immediately after the tense match.

The team’s caretaker Head Coach Juma Mgunda reiterated that they have fully assessed their opponents and are aware about their strengths and weaknesses.

“The training sessions we are conducting is to contain their strengths so that we can use that to produce good results and this is what we are focusing at during our training programmes.

“We have identified many things from them of which I cannot disclose in public but the bottom line is that we are hopeful that our strategy will work well against them,” Mgunda said.

He added that the Angolan side is not a team to be underrated especially when they play at their home ground as such; all precautions on how to approach away games will be considered by his charges.

Commenting about this month’s hectic assignments, Mgunda highlighted that it is a ‘mature month’ for his side saying they have three difficult games to settle in both domestic and international assignments.

“Aside from the Champions League game, we have two tense Premier League fixtures against our traditional rivals, Young Africans (October 23rd) before taking on Azam in a dubbed ‘Mzizima Derby’ on October 27th.

“As such; preparations we are undertaking are not only for the Champions League matches but also for the upcoming two  premier league hot fixtures,” remarked Mgunda.

Until now, Simba under the tutelage of Mgunda have not conceded a defeat in both competitive and friendly duels they have engaged and he is eyeing to continue his 100 per cent performance at the club.
