Simba force 1-1 draw at Kaitaba to give rivals Young Africans advantage

Bukoba: Simba missed the chance to go second on the Premier League table on Sunday evening after a 1-1 draw against Kagera Sugar.

The thrilling game at Kaitaba Stadium in Kagera on Sunday afternoon has produced nothing to separate the duo.

Simba continue to remain third with 57 points from 26 matches with four games to play before the end of the campaign.

Similarly, second placed Azam have so far collected points after 27 encounters.

The ‘Ice cream makers’ have established  a 3-point gap after defeating KMC 2-1 at Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam on Sunday.

For Simba, Ladaki Chasambi put his side upfront in the 24th minute but Kagera Sugar responded through Obrey Chirwa in the 62nd minute.

With the outcome, Young Africans can be announced the season’s champions if they defeat Mtibwa Sugar at Manungu Complex in Morogoro on Monday.

If Yanga win, they will collect 71 points that cannot be reached by any other team on the log.
