Simba breathe fire too close to Yanga

DAR ES SALAAM: SIMBA have reduced their gap with leaders Young Africans to a point following their 6-0 victory over Dodoma Jiji in their Premier League match stage this evening at KMC Stadium in Dar es Salaam

The defending champions were 4-point superior to Simba before today’s game.

Simba have now bagged 57 points from 22-game onslaught, and their rivals Yanga still enjoy the pilot seat, with 58 points from their 22-game outing.

Ellie Mpanzu seems to be Simba’s brightest star in terms of marksmanship as he netted his team’s opener early in the 16th minute.

Five minutes later in the 21st minute, Simba doubled the lead when Jean Ahoua scored the team’s second goal.

Just a few seconds before the end of the first half, Ahoua scored Simba’s third goal that earned them a 3-0 lead at the breather.

The second half saw Simba coming back with determination to score more goals, and their efforts paid off in just two minutes after the restart through Ugandan international Steven Mukwala.

Kibu Dennis scored Simba’s 5th goal in the 58th minute from Mpanzu’s assist.

In the 67th minute, Simba fans celebrated their team’s 6th goal through Kibu Dennis.
