See Pride of Tanzania at the 49th Sabasaba Fair
DAR ES SALAAM: THE Tanzanian government spokesperson, Gerson Msigwa, has announced that this year’s 49th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), commonly known as Sabasaba, is being held under the theme “The Sabasaba International Trade Fair – A Pride of Tanzania.” The theme highlights Tanzania’s growing status as a hub for commerce in East Africa.
Speaking in Dar es Salaam, Msigwa said the main objective of the trade fair is to provide a platform for local and international businesses and investors to showcase their products and services. He revealed that, so far, 23 countries have confirmed their official participation in this year’s exhibition.
Regarding improvements, Msigwa stated that technology has been used to streamline processes such as booking and securing exhibition booths, purchasing entry tickets, and making parking payments. Additionally, a digital map is now available through the TanTrade website and mobile app to help visitors navigate the exhibition grounds more efficiently.
He also announced new services introduced this year through a partnership between TanTrade and the Tanzania Postal Corporation, including internal transportation within the exhibition grounds and affordable cargo delivery from the fairgrounds to attendees’ homes.
