ZANZIBAR: SEA Cliff Resort & Spa Golf Course of Mangapwani, Zanzibar has resumed the new year operation with the January Golf Challenge Tournament.
The January golf challenge is scheduled to tee off on the 20th of this month at the 9-hole-only golf course in Isles.
Elias Soka the Club Manager told the ‘Sunday News’ from Zanzibar on Saturday that the club located near the Indian Ocean is ready for the tournaments which feat for the new year welcome.
Soka said that the preparations are in top gear. He further pointed out it’s a monthly mug challenge that draws men’s and ladies’ golfers from different local and foreign countries.
“You are kindly invited to join us for the January Golf Challenge in Isles, it is our first event of the year, will be more than happy to host as many as possible,” he stated.
Soka said that the event is proudly sponsored by Auric Air Service Ltd, LUX Marijan Zanzibar, Sea Cliff Resort & Spa Zanzibar, Zanzi Resort, Tanzanite Museum, Zuri Rituals, ZMMI Wines & Spirits and Villa Kiva Zanzibar.
He thanked all sponsors for making it possible for them to organise the same.
“We welcome all golfers to join us at the competition, the course is in wonderful condition that will make everyone enjoy and have a successful event,” he said.
Soka also stressed that the club extended their complement to golfers for their continued support as look forward to welcoming them and creating amazing experiences at this year’s competitions.
He said that after the holiday season, they are blessed to have again an opportunity to come back to the beautiful tournament atmosphere at the club.
“Join us for a fantastic day of golf and fun, with lots of prizes ready to be grabbed in the 18 holes, 4 clubs challenge,” he insisted.
According to Soka USD 52 is set as an entry fee for those who wish to take part in the event, it includes practice, lunch and sharing cart.
