DAR ES SALAAM: President Samia Suluhu Hassan will join other Heads of State and leaders on Sunday at the inauguration of Rwanda’s President-elect, Paul Kagame, in Kigali.
Last month, the National Electoral Commission of Rwanda declared President Kagame the winner of the presidential election, securing him a fourth term with 99.15 percent of the votes.

A press statement issued by the Presidential Communications Directorate on Saturday stated that the Head of State is expected to leave the country on Sunday morning for Kigali to witness the swearing-in ceremony.
Uganda’s Chief of Defense Forces, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has already arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of President Paul Kagame’s swearing-in ceremony, scheduled to take place tomorrow at Amahoro Stadium.
Kagame, 66, has been president since 2000 and has previously won more than 93 percent of the vote in each of the three preceding elections.
In his victory address from the headquarters of his ruling Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF), President Kagame expressed his gratitude to the people of Rwanda for their overwhelming support.
