Samia lauds duo for AGT feat

TANZANIA: PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has commended Tanzania’s elite acrobat duo, Fadhili Ramadhani and Ibrahim Jobu alias the ‘Ramadhani Brothers’ after making history by scooping the first-ever victory of the America’s Got Talent Fantasy League.

The President congratulated the Ramadhani Brothers for their win through her verified Twitter account yesterday, which made the country proud as well as promoting it.

The Head of State wrote: “Congratulations to our young talents Fadhili and Ibrahim (The Ramadan Brothers) for winning the AGT Arts and Entertainment competition: Fantasy League. “Your journey continues to show that effort, discipline, commitment and self-confidence are the key to success. “You are promoting our country and setting a good example for others.”

On his side, cementing what the president said, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry for Arts, Culture and Sports, Gerson Msigwa, through his Instagram account page congratulated the duo for their win.

He wrote: Kudos Ramadhani brothers for this great win in America’s Got Talent International Competition (AGT Fantasy League Champion)” The duo became the firstever winners of the AGT Fantasy League in the first season of the competition.

Fadhil and Ibrahim managed to beat nine other finalists, two of whom were competing on Howie’s team, and the rest on judges Simon Cowell, Mel B, and Heidi Klum’s teams for the coveted title.

“Winning AGT: Fantasy League is the most amazing feeling that we can’t describe!” Fadhili exclusively said after their win.

He further said “We have been in other Got Talent competitions around the world and have reached every final but have never won. But winning against past winners of AGT and some of the best acts on the planet raises our status.”

The hand and head-balancing brothers from Tanzania first came to AGT during season 18 in 2023 but finished in fifth place despite their unbelievably thrilling acts.

Fadhili Ramadhani and Ibrahim Jobu have so far had an exceptional year in 2023 and 2022. They participated in several global events and earned the nation honour for their headto-head balance stunt on stage.

Their success story began in 2022 when they reached the final of Australia’s Got Talent and acquired a Golden Buzzer from Kate Richie. Later that year, they reached the final of France’s Got Talent.

Their success continued in this year’s America Got Talent, where they sealed the finals and snatched fifth place. Recently, the Ramadhani Brothers received a trophy and silver medal for their performance at the 21st Circus Festival Auvergne RhôneAlpes Isère 2023 in Grenoble, France.

The festival took place from November 30 to December 3, 2023, and featured over 60 acrobatic groups from 14 different countries. The Ramadhani Brothers’ performance was exceptional, and they received a standing ovation from the audience.

Their head-to-head balance stunt was the highlight of their performance, leaving the audience in awe. The brothers’ Instagram handle was filled with congratulatory messages from fans and fellow artists. The two took to their Instagram handle to express their gratitude for the support they received.
